Export Control Training
CITI Program Export Control Training
- Who MUST Take CITI Export Control Training: Anyone listed as a signatory on a University Technology Control Plan (TCP) per University policy RAG40 (Guidelines for Ensuring Compliance with Export Control Policy). However, any faculty or staff member whose research involves international collaborations, or the sharing of controlled technology, data, software, or equipment with foreign persons should also take this training, even if it is not required.

- Renewal Requirement: Certification must be renewed every three years.

Export Compliance Basics 101
- Who Should Take This Course: Faculty, staff, and researchers looking for a foundational understanding of export controls.
- Time Commitment: 35–40 minutes.
- What You Will Learn: Essential guidance on U.S. export control regulations in our global research environment. Through interactive guides and real-world scenarios, you will learn to identify potential compliance risks in your daily work, understand your responsibilities, and know where to go for help.
