What is the CFC?
Scientific and professional isolation has the same effect on careers as it does on collaboration grants — the CFC exists to close that gap.
The Core Facilities Community was formed to foster community among staff and non-tenure-line faculty working in core facilities, promote collaboration and cooperation between cores, and educate and enable career advancement through quarterly meetings and a summer seminar series. If something is making your job harder, there’s a good chance someone else in the room has already solved it.

Anyone who processes samples, operates or maintains instrumentation, trains students, consults with users on their projects, works across multiple departments, or supports users external to Penn State.
