As an Accountant on the Industrial Team withing the Research Accounting department, Chrissy is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and resolving complex accounting and accounts receivable issues. Additionally, Chrissy is responsible for overseeing proper classification and coding of income and expenses, and reviewing grants, contracts, and interpreting University policy to ensure compliance. She also confers with contract negotiators and sponsors to resolve issues accordingly.
Chrissy began her career with Penn State as a Financial Assistant at Penn State law in November of 2021. She started out as an Accountant 2 in Research Accounting in November of 2022 and was promoted to an Accountant 3 in September of 2023.
Prior to Penn State, Chrissy spent her last 10 years working as a Procurement Specialist for the Commonwealth of PA where she oversaw the Purchasing, Receiving, and Warehouse operations at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
Chrissy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Accounting Transaction Analysis.
