As a Contracting Officer, Mary serves the Penn State research administration community by reviewing requests for proposals, processing gifts and grants, and negotiating contracts, subawards, and modifications.
Mary started her Penn State career in 2011 as an Administrative Assistant and advanced to the Financial Approver for the Department of Physics. In 2016 she completed the ACOR ACES course entering Research Administration in earnest in 2018 as the first College of Agricultural Sciences Departmental Proposal and Award Generalist for Plant Science. Mary became a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) in 2024 while in the Strategic Interdisciplinary Research Office (SIRO) before joining the Office of Sponsored Programs in 2025.
