She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Master's Degree in Project Management, both from Virginia State University. Britney has built a strong foundation in higher education and nonprofit finance, with deep expertise in grant management, budget analysis, forecasting, and compliance. Her work is guided by a commitment to operational efficiency, fiscal transparency, and data-informed decision making.
Prior to joining Penn State, Britney served as the Assistant Director of Effort & Personnel Operations at Howard University, where she oversaw over $90 million in grant-related personnel expenses and led institution-wide compliance for effort reporting and labor distribution. She has also held positions in university research finance and contract support services, where she collaborated closely with faculty, administrators, and external sponsors. Britney is passionate about supporting research excellence through streamlining financial processes and collaborative problem-solving.
