Attendees will gain a practical understanding of the informed consent process in human subjects research, including the ethical foundations, required elements of consent, who may obtain and provide consent, and how to properly document consent in compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements.
Additionally, you will learn how to navigate special consent situations, such as remote consent, waivers of consent, and consent for vulnerable populations and individuals with limited English proficiency, while avoiding common compliance pitfalls.
If you are obtaining PSNA credits, you can miss no more than 10 minutes of the presentation and your camera must remain on.
