Staff Advisory Council (STAC)
The OSVPR Staff Advisory Council represents the interests of OSVPR staff by advocating for their needs, fostering open communication with leadership, and promoting a collaborative and inclusive workplace. We are committed to cultivating a deep sense of belonging for staff, with opportunities for professional development, engagement, and recognition in alignment with Penn State’s mission and values.
Vision Statement
To be a trusted advocate and proactive partner in shaping an inclusive, equitable, and thriving campus community where staff feel a deep sense of belonging and are empowered to grow professionally and personally.
Our Goals
- Advocacy & Representation
- Serve as a collective voice for staff concerns and perspectives in institutional decision-making.
- Facilitate productive and transparent communication between staff, faculty, and leadership.
- Professional Development
- Support training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities for staff at all levels.
- Partner with HR and other units to identify and share growth resources.
- Recognition & Engagement
- Promote initiatives that recognize outstanding staff contributions.
- Encourage a culture of collaboration, appreciation, and team building.
- Belonging
- Champion inclusive practices that reflect the diverse needs and strengths of the staff community.
- Provide input on policies impacting staff sense of belonging and workplace culture.
- Communication & Connection
- Maintain clear, timely communication with staff through regular updates, forums, and feedback opportunities.
- Create opportunities for cross-unit dialogue and connections.
2026 Meeting Schedule
- OSVPR-STAC all hands meetings are held from 11AM to Noon on the 4th Wednesday of every month.
