Matt Beissel started his Penn State career in 2012 in the Office of Endowment Accounting. He has been with Research Accounting since 2016, performing various roles within the department. He began as the supervisor for the government team where he oversaw five accountants focused on restricted accountant setups, billing and financial reporting for federal and state agencies. Matt was later promoted to manager of the office where he had general oversight of internal operations. After a brief stint at another institution, he came back to the Office of Research Accounting to serve as its director.
Matt earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Penn State in 2004. He serves as an instructor for the ACES program at PSU and was a presenter at the Region I NCURA conference in 2023. He is an active member of the Post-award Working Group and is part of the ACOR Executive Committee. Matt previously was an ACOR Fellow and was named the 2021 ACOR Accounting/Finance All-Star.
